If you would like to learn this fascinating craft please book your place now and be inspired by a London-based Palestinian woman, the founder of Auntie Suzy’s Embroidery, who will share her skill and knowledge with you.
Embroidery is the art of decorating fabric with threads using a variety of stitches in many colours, dating back to the 5th Century BC. A particularly important part of Palestinian culture, embroidery remains very much practised until today. We are delighted to bring our embroidery workshops to London! Embroidery is a skill that demands patience and attention to detail and can offer a creative and peaceful refuge in your busy life.
During the one-hour workshops participants will learn the historic embroidery techniques and will have the opportunity to make their own bookmarks, as well as other small items.
If you are not a beginner, a higher level classes can be offered once your level is established.
